Bar Rafaeli New Host of MTV’s House of Style

Internationally known supermodel Bar Rafaeli is the favorite to be named the new host of MTV’s House Of Style, the New York Post reports.  The original version of the show was very successful, featuring Cindy Crawford in all 11 years (from 1989-2000).

The Post reports that Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend is allegedly the favorite, but if Rafaeli turns down the hosting gig, model Chanel Iman would be MTV’s second choice.

I don’t really have anything to say about House of Style. I simply don’t remember it.  The New York Post is often wrong with their PageSix reports, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates on Rafaeli and House of Style.

I must confess something.

I wrote this just because I wanted to post a picture of Bar Rafaeli.

In the words of George W. Bush: “Mission accomplished.”

Jason Segel, Emily Blunt Close To Joining Gulliver’s Travels

Nervous?

Nervous?

Jason Segel and Emily Blunt have joined the cast of Gulliver’s Travels, according to multiple reports.

The pair are reportedly in negotiations to join Jack Black in the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in March 2009.

Based off the 19th century book – whose title character will be played by Black – Gulliver’s Travels is the story of a travel writer going to the Bermuda triangle.  But, as is typically the case with the Bermuda Triangle in pre-21st century literature, things go horribly wrong, and Gulliver is washed ashore on a small island inhabited by tiny people.

How Blunt and Segel, from How I Met Your Mother and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, figure into this storyline has not been reported.  But WENN reports that if Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada, signs on to appear in Gulliver’s she would be passing on the role of The Black Widow in Iron Man 2.

Stay tuned for more news on Gulliver’s throughout the spring and summer.

ABC Picks Up Lauren Graham’s Pilot

I love Lauren Graham, even though I only know her through my TV.  Which is why I was excited to read Variety‘s report that Graham’s ABC pilot – Let It Go – has been picked up for next fall.

The plot is this:  Graham plays a talk show host who gives out relationship advice, only to get dumped and struggle to follow her own advice in the wake of the break. She struggles with the break up, tries to find another man, cries and does some other boring stuff.

Though I’m not a TV expert, Let It Go will likely get canceled .  I think there’s a good chance Let It Go is canceled in its first year.  Unless the writing is stellar, or fans of Gilmore Girls turn out in droves to see the actress who played Lorelai Gilmore do her thing in a different show.

Which they will.  For precisely one episode, before they realize that this isn’t Gilmore Girls 2.

So, I’m sorry Lauren.  Maybe you’ll acting career will end and you’ll move in with me.
